Жесткий диск WD Purple Pro [WD121PURP] использует в основе своей работы технологию записи СMR, которая обеспечивает оптимальную производительность при высокой надежности и отказоустойчивости. В частности, скорость вращения вала в данной модели составляет 7200 об/мин. Также модель оснащена буфером на 256 МБ и поддерживает оптимизацию под RAID-массивы. Для подключения диска к оборудованию используется интерфейс SATA III с пропускной способностью до 6 Гбит/с. Максимальное энергопотребление модели не превышает 6.6 Вт.
