Жесткий диск WD Blue представляет собой 3.5-дюймовый накопитель для игровых и рабочих систем ПК. Соответствуя интерфейсу SATA III, он обеспечивает пропускную способность на уровне 6 Гбит/с. Это позволяет без сбоев работать с веб-приложениями и офисными программами. При этом, устройство идеально справляется с задачами дополнительных накопителей для офисного оборудования и настольных систем. Диск WD Blue увеличивает объем ПК на 2 ТБ. Обладая кэш-памятью емкостью 256 МБ, он способен мгновенно обрабатывать большие потоки мелких файлов, перенося их в буфер обмена для быстрого доступа к ним. Он не создает задержек при последовательной записи и чтении благодаря скорости вращения шпинделя на уровне 7200 об/мин. Конструкция накопителя не позволяет записывающей головке соприкасаться с поверхностью диска. Поэтому их поверхности не будут быстро изнашиваться.
